About Us
Hi, we’re Faith and Mati, artists who believe that everyone has something beautiful to say. We’re devoted to turquoise & hot pink, sundrenched mornings on the beach as the best start to any day, and firm believers that playing with paint is soul medicine!
The Co-Founders
As artists, teachers and retreat leaders our mission is to help you ignite your creative spark and unlock a new way of working intuitively to allow space for your own transformation!
Through our workshops, retreats and book we offer exercises, skills and techniques that will help you discover the best way into your art. The muse wants you to approach, inspiration is calling your name! In the end what is important is who you are becoming.
The best advice we would offer to anyone who wants to paint is this: Just show up as often as you can and do the work. Start painting - just begin. Making your art is what will lead you to your truest self. Don’t judge yourself harshly, and have patience.
This is your invitation to make space and dive in. Explore our retreats, workshops, and book.

Mati Rose McDonough
Mati Rose McDonough is an artist and daring adventurer whose name is pronounced Matey, like Ahoy! She grew up near the sea in Maine and now lives in the Bay Area.
After wanting to be an artist for many years, but feeling like it was “impractical,” at 29 years Mati took the leap and went back to art school at the California College of the Arts. Now over ten years later, she is still excited and terrified every time she sees a blank canvas, but embraces the adventure of life as an artist— penning her first book with this philosophy called “Daring Adventures in Paint”.
She has had dozens of art shows, taught painting classes internationally in Italy, Morocco, Costa Rica and more to come! Her illustrations grace all sorts of products from camera cases to giant elephant billboards as well as her own home decor line and dress line too— dreams come true! She is pinching herself after all those years that she is making her living as an artist.
Mati has illustrated four children’s books including “i carry your heart” written by poet ee cummings. Through her workshops, books, and popular online course, she spreads a warm message of creative courage: IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO SHOW THE WORLD YOUR MAGIC.
Faith Evans-Sills
Faith Evans-Sills is a painter, author, retreat leader and creative guide, living and working by the sea in Charleston, SC. Her many online classes and book “Painting the Sacred Within” offer art techniques & tips to express your authentic inner voice. She has a passion for helping women connect with their most heartfelt ideas through creating art.
Faith is a lover of bright color, drips, unbridled expression, pure freedom, unapologetic happiness. She is a believer that there is beauty in just about everything, and that anything worth doing takes time. With two decades of personal painting experience Faith loves guiding women to create art that they love.
When she is not creating my art, Faith spends time with her family. They love adventuring around our neighborhood in our golf cart, spending the day at the beach, local farmers markets. They are constantly revamping their garden and home into a secret hideaway, and planning their next adventure. They’ve logged many hours of travel as a family with plans to do lots more as their children get older.
Let’s begin together!
Few things make us happier…
than when we find out that we have inspired others to create something beautiful. When you are connected to the source of inspiration, what you put into a painting is no less than a piece of yourself.
